ANCORAR HOSPEDAGENS LTDA, registered under CNPJ no. 65.652.045/0001-96, with its head office at R. Bananeiras, 361, Sala 107, Manaíra, João Pessoa/PB, Brazil, ZIP 58038-170 (“Ancorar”, “we”), is committed to the privacy and security of the personal data of its clients, owners and visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your data while you browse and hire our services, in line with Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (Law no. 13,709/2018 — “LGPD”).

1. Data we collect

We may collect the following categories of data:

  • Registration and booking data: full name, CPF (Brazilian taxpayer ID), date of birth, ID document or passport, phone, email and the details of any other guests provided at the time of booking.
  • Payment data: information needed to confirm payment, such as a transfer or PIX receipt. Ancorar does not store full credit card details.
  • Browsing data: IP address, cookies, pages visited and browser session information, collected automatically.

2. How and why we use your data

We process your data for the purposes below, always on a legal basis set out in the LGPD:

  • To make and manage bookings, check-in and check-out (performance of a contract);
  • To provide support to guests and owners (performance of a contract and legitimate interest);
  • To comply with legal, regulatory and security obligations (legal obligation);
  • To understand our audience and continuously improve our services, content and offers (legitimate interest);
  • To send communications and news, when you authorize it (consent).

Your data is recorded automatically and kept strictly confidential.

3. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, understand how the site is used and ensure the best offers and a smoother experience. You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings; some features may be affected as a result. We use third-party tools that install cookies only after you accept the notice shown on your first visit: Google Analytics (audience measurement) and Meta Pixel, by Meta Platforms (ad measurement and targeting on Facebook and Instagram). If you decline, these services are not loaded.

4. Data sharing

Ancorar does not sell your personal data and does not disclose it to third parties, except where necessary and limited to the purposes of this Policy, such as:

  • Booking and payment platforms used to complete your stay;
  • Service providers acting on Ancorar’s behalf (for example, technology and operations), contractually bound to confidentiality;
  • Public authorities, when required by law or court order.

5. Storage and security

We adopt technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or improper disclosure. To keep this data intact, we strongly advise you not to share your password with third parties, even friends or relatives.

6. Data retention

We keep your data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected and any applicable legal obligations. After that period, the data is deleted or anonymized.

7. Your rights as a data subject

Under the LGPD, you may at any time request: confirmation that processing exists; access, correction or updating of your data; anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data; portability; information about sharing; and withdrawal of consent. 8. International data transfers

Some of the services we use are operated by companies based abroad; in those cases your data may be processed outside Brazil:

  • Google LLC (Google Analytics) — United States, only if you accept cookies;
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta Pixel and server-side event forwarding via the Conversions API) — United States, only if you accept cookies;
  • FormSubmit — service that forwards contact-form messages to Ancorar's e-mail;
  • Brevo (Sendinblue), France — e-mail platform that stores contacts who signed up for the guide and sends the communications. Sign-up is only completed after you confirm via e-mail (double opt-in).

These transfers follow article 33 of the Brazilian data protection law (LGPD) and are limited to what is necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.

9. Withdrawing your consent

You may change your mind at any time. To review your cookie choice, click “Cookie preferences” in the footer of any page: the notice reappears and you can accept or decline. If you decline, analytics and advertising cookies already stored in your browser are deleted and no new data is sent. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out beforehand.

10. Data protection contact and complaints

Ancorar has appointed Rodrigo Barão as Data Protection Officer (Encarregado), under article 41 of the LGPD. To exercise your rights or raise any matter related to personal data protection, write to contato@ancorarhospedagens.com.br. We will reply within the periods set by law.

You may also file a complaint with the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD), under article 18, §1, of the LGPD, at gov.br/anpd.

11. Changes to this Policy

This Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted here, along with the corresponding update date.
